Your appointment

However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery

Appointments by phone can be more flexible and often means you may get help sooner.

Appointments can be made 7 days in advance and are released every morning automatically at 8am.  Please phone the practice at this time if you wish to book a routine appointment with a clinician.

Should you have an urgent medical concern e.g. chest infection please contact our telephone triage service between 8.30am and 10.30am or 1.30pm to 2pm Monday to Friday where you will be able to speak to a nurse.  The admin team will ask for a brief overview of your medical concern to ensure you receive the care in a timely manner.

If you need help with your appointment

Please tell us:

  • if there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
  • if you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone
  • if you need an interpreter
  • if you have any other access or communication needs

If you need help when we are closed

If you need medical help now, use NHS 24 or Call 111.

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

Home visits

If you are bedbound and need to be seen, we may do a home visit. We will phone you first to understand what you need.

To request a home visit, please phone the practice at the 8.30am triage to allow our acute care team to assess your needs.

Staff Training

For the purposes of staff and practice development the practice will significantly reduce routine services on certain afternoons during the year.  It is important that we do this to ensure we continue to provide a high quality service.

Following afternoon triage at 2pm the practice will close.  However if patients have an urgent medical concern that cannot wait until the practice re-opens at 5pm they will be able to contact the practice on 07949223570 where a call handler will take details of the concern.

We will update the answering machine message and our website to keep you informed when this happens.
