The practice take part in quarterly training sessions which are organised for all GP practices in Forth Valley. These sessions are known as Create training. The surgery will be closed during Create and the local GP Out of Hours service will provide cover for the afternoon until NHS24 takes over at 6pm.
The practice also has in-house training events for all staff. On these afternoons the surgery will be closed for up to 3 hours, however, any patient who has an urgent medical concern that cannot wait until the practice re-opens can telephone the practice mobile.
For both Create and in-house teaching afternoons the practice will send out a text message to let all patients know of the arrangements, including numbers to telephone in the event of an urgent medical concern.
